Refund and Cancelation Policy

At Spey Academy, we deliver premium educational services, professional certification programs, and digital learning experiences. Because our offerings consist of scheduled event bookings, limited-capacity classroom seats, and immediate-access digital content, we do not sell physical goods, and we do not offer standard refunds or product returns.

1. In-Person Courses & Certification Programs (Classroom Learning)

Our in-person masterclasses and Edinburgh Whisky Academy (EWA) certification programs have strictly limited capacities and involve advanced venue, material, and logistics planning.

  • Non-Refundable Seats: Once a seat is purchased and confirmed for a specific date/venue, the booking is non-refundable.

  • Cancellations & Transfers:

    • If you notify us more than 14 days before the scheduled course date, we may, at our sole discretion, offer you a transfer to an alternative upcoming course date or allow you to transfer your seat to another individual nominated by you, subject to availability.

    • Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled course date are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable, as we are unable to reallocate the seat to another student at short notice.

2. Spey Academy Online (Digital Courses)

  • Immediate Access, Non-Refundable: Due to the digital nature of our online platform, full and immediate access to the course curriculum, videos, and study materials is granted immediately upon purchase.

  • Because this digital content is instantly consumed, all sales of digital/online courses are final and non-refundable.

3. Course Changes or Cancellations by Spey Academy

While we make every effort to deliver our courses as scheduled, Spey Academy reserves the right to alter course dates, venues, or instructors, or to cancel a course due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or unexpected logistical disruptions.

  • In the rare event that Spey Academy cancels an in-person course entirely, registered students will be offered a 100% full refund of the course fee paid, or the option to transfer to a future scheduled date.

  • Spey Academy is not responsible for any personal travel, accommodation, or incidental expenses incurred by students due to a schedule change or cancellation.
